Town of Pulteney Historian Report

December 2009

     In 1909 there were 20 births, 8 marriages, and 26 deaths. Hospitals and nursing homes have changed that Town record

keeping statistic to 0 births, 0 marriages, and 3 deaths for 2009. It seems that most records are at the town level where the

hospitals or nursing homes are located.

     There have been two more pictures added to the "Military Wall".

     Between holiday shopping and surgery, this month has not been very active for the historian.

     There has been an inquiry regarding Seth Pierce that is referred to in Emily Radigan's Pulteney History on the Web Page.

The request came from Marilyn M Pierce of Young Harris, Georgia. Because of the holidays, I haven't been able to give it

my full attention, so this will be dealt with after the New Year.

Bonney from Oregon called and left a message regarding information on the Otis and Walden families. However, she didn't

leave a number to return the call, so it has gone no further.
